Aus Hyatt Goldpassport wurde ganz schnell World of Hyatt. Das Programm hat starke Veränderungen erfahren. Viele Fragen blieben unbeantwortet.

World of Hyatt war geboren.

Was World of Hyatt bringen wird, darüber habe ich schon geschrieben: Hyatt Goldpassport wird zu WORLD OF HYATT

I’m Jeff Zidell, SVP of loyalty for Hyatt. AMA!

“I mean it when I say that talking with members is my favorite part of my job, and your thoughts, suggestions and questions are sincerely appreciated. We’ll keep listening. I very much recognize that change is hard. And we’ve changed many aspects of the loyalty program. Because I won’t be able to answer all of your questions here, I hope you’ll visit our Q&A section on hyatt.com/world until the next time we can all get together.”

“This is my first AMA, and it’s a learning experience for sure. I didn’t want to push our marketing messages in this forum, but instead wanted to use it as a way to hear everyone’s concerns and answer questions as best I could. To be very clear in answering your question, World of Hyatt is not a cost-savings measure. So what’s in it for us? When our members experience the new benefits of World of Hyatt, we’ll create more loyalty, and through that, we’ll grow.”

“I took my wife and two daughters to Andaz Maui last summer and we had so much fun we barely left the resort. If you go, you need to meet the Andaz Beach Crew! instagram.com/andazbeachcrew”

“Sure. Excellent question! Hyatt is a purpose driven company—our purpose is to care for people so they can be their best, and we have been applying this lens to all we do. Mark, our CEO, challenged each of us at the company to reexamine our work with our purpose in mind. For my team and me, that meant taking a fresh look at our loyalty program. We created World of Hyatt to celebrate the people at the center of our world, our members. We want to reward you more frequently as you engage across our portfolio so we’ve added an additional tier, and also reward you for doing the things you love on our properties, so you can now earn tier status as well as points for dining, spa and other activities.”

“I took my family to Rome last year, and I couldn’t stay at a Hyatt hotel. So I definitely share your frustration. Europe is a focus for us, and we will be opening more hotels in the places that are of most interest to our guests. Thank you for asking this question.”

“To add more detail – You’ll still earn points for your stays at Mlife, those points will count toward earning tier status and you’ll be able to continue redeeming your points for free nights. We offer reciprocal tier status with Mlife too. Here’s a link with all the details: hyatt.com/mlife”

“I love the new look, and I really think it will grow on you. We choose the name World of Hyatt and this logo because we think of World of Hyatt as a window into the people, places and stories that make up each of our guest’s unique lives. It’s a platform to create a community of engaged travelers. So we don’t just want to welcome you to our world, we want to understand yours. My favorite part is the logo framed around things that make you, you. You can see more of what I mean in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXiMcKFaPZc”

“I hear you, and I understand your concerns. We wanted to make point-earning more valuable for members and allow base points to count for tier status which they didn’t before. Now in World of Hyatt, members can earn base points on up to three rooms and on dining and spa even without a stay. In addition, nights still count toward tier status.”

“As long as a standard room is available at the hotel or resort, there should be the ability to use an award night. Points + Cash is a separate benefit managed by each hotel that determines the availability to book this award.”

“You will need 60 nights or 100,000 base points in World of Hyatt in 2017. Then re-qualifying for Globalist status in 2018 would require a minimum of 55 nights.”

“Members who become Globalists on the March 1, 2017 launch of World of Hyatt will receive 4 suite upgrade awards on March 1, 2017. In order to receive additional suite upgrade awards, you will need to reach 60 nights or 100,000 Base Points (includes activity from January and February) after March 1, 2017. These suite upgrade awards are valid for 1 year from date of issuance to provide more flexible timing and they are now able to be used on both award and paid stays.”

“My apologies that you didn’t get a clear answer. Our earning remains on a calendar year basis—the reference to January and February 2017 is in regards to whether a member’s activity in those 2 months would qualify them for a higher tier when we launch World of Hyatt on March 1, 2017.”

“We understand your point, and we do hear it from members. The good news is we are very well represented in large and mid-size cities. Since 2009, we’ve grown from 424 to 679 properties worldwide (more than 60 percent!) and we keep growing. As we shared on our latest earnings call, our executed contract base is ~61,000 rooms, which means we expect to add more than 35% of our current room base.”

“All existing Lifetime Diamonds will transfer to Lifetime Globalist status on March 1st of next year. Lifetime Globalist status includes even more rewards and benefits, like waived resort fees on reward nights, unlimited complimentary upgrades to best room available including suites and confirmed suite upgrades on paid and award stays.”

“Hi Johnny, I’m glad that you’re excited about Globalist status and I appreciate the question. In developing this benefit, we worked closely with our hotels to ensure the integrity of its delivery. The ultimate customer experience is highly important and we will continuously monitor feedback from both our hotels and guests to ensure the benefit is being delivered as envisioned. So if you experience any inconsistencies, we want to hear from you.”

+ Der CEO Mark S. Hoplamazian ist Schuld an World of Hyatt.
+ Lifetime Diamonds bekommen Lifetime Globalist.
