Das Versprechen dieser Best Price Garantie hört sich super an. Man bucht also einen Economy Flug. Dann reicht man einen günstigeren Flug ein und bekommt ein kostenloses Upgrade in die Business.

Schauen wir uns mal die Geschäftsbedingungen an:

Als gebeutelter IHG Best Price Heavy-User sehe ich da sofort einige Probleme dieser Best Price Garantie:

1.) Das Zeitfenster von 4 Stunden ist relativ kurz bemessen.
2.) Die Bedingungen müssen vollkommen identisch sein.
3.) Eigentlich muss die Währung auf dem Screenshot und bei Ukraine International identisch sein.
4.) Peking und Bangkok sind ausgenommen und bei JFK gibt es nur ein Upgrade in Premium Economy.
5.) Die Kontaktmöglichkeiten sind nur über ein online Formular ohne eine Möglichkeit die Screenshots anzuhängen.
6.) Das Upgrade gibt es nur bei Verfügbarkeit.

Beim Mydealz Fall war es ein günstigerer Preis, weil man einen Bonus bei Zahlung mit Kreditkarte bekommen hat. Ich würde mal sagen, die Bedingungen sind dadurch eigentlich nicht mehr gleich. Prinzipiell coole Geschichte, aber ob diese Best Price Garantie echt leistungsfähig ist, muss mir erst wer zeigen.

Spannend wäre es natürlich fully-flexible Tickets dort einzureichen. Solche Preisunterschiede da herauszufinden aber schon eine größere Challenge …
