United Meilensale Promos sind eigentlich keine Seltenheit. Bei einem kleinen Flash-Sale bekommt man für 90 000 Meilen noch 60 000 Meilen als Bonus.

Ganz billig ist man da sicher nicht unterwegs (21,80 Euro / 1 000 Meilen). Man muss die Meilen also gezielt einsetzen, dann könnte so ein Umweg über einen Meilenkauf Sinn machen. Die Thai First von Bangkok nach Sydney (oder auch schon aus der Region) kommt auf 65 000 Meilen und ca. 50 Euro Steuern und Gebühren. D. h. man kann sie mit dem Umweg über den Meilenkauf um 1 500 Euro machen.
