Ich mag Hyatt und bin ein echter Fanboy. Mittlerweile gehe ich auf 10 Jahre Top-Tier Status Hyatt Diamond bzw. Globalist hin.
Das Problem von Hyatt ist halt der limitierte weltweite Fußabdruck. In den USA ist Hyatt super in allen Hotelkategorien vertreten. International ist man eher im Luxussegment unterwegs und es gibt einfach sehr wenige Häuser.
Hyatt überlegt sich bei NH Hotels einzusteigen.

Consistent with our strategy of pivoting to an asset-lighter business model, we see significant value creation for shareholders through a separation of NH Hotel Group’s real-estate assets from its hotel management platform. As a next step, we are seeking to conduct additional due diligence to further inform valuation and determine the optimal approach to a potential offer.””

Definitiv würde das Hyatt viel interessanter machen, denn eines gilt noch immer: Was bringt einem ein Status, wenn man ihn nirgends verwenden kann? Ein Hilton Diamond hat tausende Hotels zur Auswahl. Ein SPG / Marriott Platinum kann sich vor lauter Häusern gar nicht erretten. Mit einem Hyatt Status muss man die Hotels schon eher suchen.
Das würde auch der Marke NH Hotels sicher gut tun. Hyatt ist ja schon legendär dafür, Hotels zu entwickeln und die jeweilige Hotelkategorie hochzutreiben. Schauen wir uns Grand Hyatt und Hyatt Regency an. Die schiebt man gerade richtig ins Luxussegment hinein (die internationalen Häuser).
