Um Avianca Lifemiles und das tolle Programm kümmere ich mich schon seit Jahren. Es ist einfach ein sehr guter Weg bestimmte Star Alliance First Produkte bzw. außergewöhnlichere Business Strecken bzw. Termine zu buchen. Also Lifemiles haben schon ihre Berechtigung.

Die Bedingungen:
“This promotion applies for miles purchases made between May 21th and June 5th, 2019 (between 00.00-23.59 GMT -6, El Salvador). The bonus percentage applies as follows: for purchases from 1,000 – 50,000 LifeMiles receive 2×1 + 15% additional miles, for purchases from 51,000 – 100,000 LifeMiles receive 2×1 + 30% additional miles, for purchases from 101,000 – 200,000 receive 2×1 + 40% additional miles.
The promotion is exclusive for subscribers of the “One Mile at a Time” blog who are LifeMiles Members and have subscribed to the promotion thru the link provided by the blog.
The client must be previously enrolled to the LifeMiles Program. The last day to enroll and to subscribe to the promotion is June 5th, 2019.
The bonuses are calculated based on the miles purchased per individual transaction without taking into account the 2×1 bonus.

Sicherlich ist Avianca Life Miles ein super Weg, sehr günstig Business/First zu fliegen. Ich habe selbst einmal für ca. 950 USD One Way LH von MIA nach Frankfurt über Life Miles gebucht, das war klasse. Momentan ist aber Vorsicht geboten, da der Aktienkurs von Avianca extrem in den Keller gerutscht ist und einige Marktteilnehmer von drohender Insolvenz sprechen. Nicht dass ein zweites AB /Top Bonus Fiasko droht, welches vielen von uns leider widerfahren ist. und sich hoffentlich mit Avianca Life Miles nicht wiederholt Also: Prends gard a toi!

Ich hatte mal >10 accounts, sogar mein Hund war bei LM, aber das war zu Zeiten als boomerang noch funktionierte und alle airlines gleichberechtigt bei LM buchbar waren. Damals waren 400’000 Meilen Kauflimit pro account zu wenig, um den ganzen Spass mitzumachen.
Heute würde ich nur noch immediate redemptions machen, genau aus den von dir beschriebenen Gründen.
Nachdem Avianca Brasil heute gegroundet wurde bin ich mal gespannt, wie und ob das LM-Programm davon betroffen sein wird.
Wenn man die redemptions rates vergleicht, haben LM auf bestimmten Strecken und unter gewissen Voraussetzungen absolut ihre Berechtigung!
Beispiel:
identischer oneway-Flug USA-EU:
LM verlangt 63’000 + 5 € tax
M&M will 56’000 + 560 € tax
1000 M&M/LM = 10 Euro
sagt das nicht alles aus!?
Es kommt immer alles drauf an. Wenn man gerade die F Sale Promos ab Europa sieht, dann relativiert sich der Umweg über Meilen natürlich. Wir beide wissen, es hängt von vielen Faktoren ab.
Immer würde ich keine Meilen horten. Nicht bei Lifemiles oder irgendwo. Lifemiles ist sowieso jetzt kaufen, morgen buchen.

Die wirklich tollen “Meilenzeiten” sind endgültig vorbei und da wird auch nix vergleichbares (ich meine damit, GUTES!) mehr kommen.
Wenn ich heute von “personalisierten(!) dynamischen Flugpreisen” lese, weiss ich, dass FFP’s nur noch Makulatur sein werden.
