Die USA werden gerade stark vom Covid-19 Ausbruch getroffen. Trotzdem fliegen noch immer täglich laut TSA Bericht ca. 120 000 Personen. Waren Masken bei den meisten US Airlines seit einigen Tagen freiwillig, so stellt man jetzt auf eine verpflichtende Maskenpflicht um.
Maskenpflicht bei JetBlue
“*NEW* Face Coverings Required for Customers
Starting May 4, all customers are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their journey, including during check-in, boarding, while in flight and deplaning. JetBlue crewmembers have already been utilizing face coverings at work. CDC guidance defines a suitable face covering as an item of cloth that should fit snugly against the side of the face, be secured with ties or ear loops, include multiple layers of fabric and allow for unrestricted breathing. The CDC recommends surgical masks and N-95 respirators be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders. Small children who are not able to maintain a face covering are exempt from this requirement.”

“We strongly encourage you to wear a face covering while flying on American, and starting May 11, it will be required. You also may be required by local law to wear one in the airport where your trip begins, where it ends or where you connect.”

Their use is also strongly encouraged in high-traffic areas including security lines and restrooms. People unable to keep a face covering in place, including children, are exempt.”
