Qatar Airways bietet sehr viele Lösungsmöglichkeiten für nicht-funktionierende Flüge. Seit Mai hat es da ein sehr nettes Feature gegeben. Man konnte das Ziel eines Fluges einfach um 5 000 Meilen erweitern: DEAL: Qatar lässt bei Umbuchungen das Ziel kostenlos um 5000 Meilen erweitern!
Mit 01.10. wird diese sehr großzügige Regelung gekippt. Man kann zwar im selben Land oder der weiteren Region umbuchen. Das aber nur bei einer Reisebeschränkung.
Die neuen Bedingungen:

If you have booked your ticket on qatarairways.com or through any of our offices, you can change your itinerary by calling any of our offices or our Contact Center, exchange your ticket for a travel voucher, Qmiles or refund on our website. Please note that the options available are dependent on the situation. Please refer to the overall summary above or detailed T&Cs below.

Impacted travel means flight cancellation for operational reason and/or airport closures; schedule changes; travel restrictions imposed by government authorities outside passenger’s control; passengers testing positive for COVID-19.
Qatar Airways is entitled to change its Extending Our Commitment Policy with immediate effect and without prior notice to you.
Hold your ticket
If you have not used your ticket (i.e. you have not flown a single segment of the booked journey/itinerary), your ticket can be kept open and the value of the original ticket can be used within 2 years from the original ticket issue date.
If you have already used part of your ticket, your ticket can be kept open and the value of the remaining ticket can be used within 1 year from the first flown segment.
If you would like to apply the open ticket for travel on/before 31 December 2021, please refer to the terms and conditions detailed under “Date Change” and/or “Route Change” (route change only applicable when original travel has been disrupted).
If you would like to apply the open ticket for travel (on one or more sectors) on/after 1 January 2022, please observe a blackout travel period applicable between 24 October 2022 and 15 January 2023.
Unlimited date change
All travel must be completed on/before 31 December 2021
Rebooking fees will be waived if reservations are amended before departure (for travel on/before 31 December 2021).
For voluntary changes, may rebook into the same booking class (RBD) as original ticket on the same routing.
For involuntary changes (where travel has been impacted), Qatar Airways will rebook you into the same cabin and routing.
Unlimited route change
Unlimited route change option is only applicable when your original travel has been impacted.
All travel must be completed on/before 31 December 2021
Qatar Airways will rebook you into the same cabin on the new route.
Rerouting is possible free of charge on Qatar Airways operated flights where Doha (DOH) is the transit point or the origin and destination.
If you are a Qatar Airways Privilege Club, you may change the original destination within the same country or same region.
If you are not a Qatar Airways Privilege Club member, you may change the original destination within the same country or a 500 (five hundred) mile radius from the original destination within the same region
If you are not yet a Privilege Club member, you can join Privilege Club, in accordance with the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions
Regions are defined as Africa, America, Australasia, Europe, Far East, GCC (inclusive of Levant, Iran, Iraq), Indian Subcontinent
Rerouting is not possible free of charge if the original booking was on a fifth freedom route not touching Doha (such as PNH-SGN and vice versa; GRU-EZE and vice versa).
Travel voucher
The voucher is non–refundable and non-transferable and is valid for further transportation on Qatar Airways marketed flights only and/or Qatar Airways ancillary services.
If your ticket is fully unused, the full equivalent amount will be issued on a non-refundable voucher, valid for two years from the date of the voucher issuance.
If your ticket is partially used, the unutilized amount of your ticket will be reissued on a non-refundable travel voucher valid for two years from the date of voucher issuance.
The 10% additional amount will be calculated on the unutilized base fare (taxes and all other applicable charges excluded) of the ticket originally paid and remains non-refundable.
Exchange ticket for Qmiles
80 Qmiles for every USD 1 of the ticket value will be credited for to your Privilege Club membership card.
All passengers in the same booking must be Privilege Club Members. If you are not yet a Privilege Club member, you can join Privilege Club, in accordance with the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions.
Children under age 12 can be enrolled as part of family member by any parent and mileage accrual will be posted to Main Member’s account.
Qmiles credited applies to refundable, as well as to non-refundable fares, Q and stopover surcharges and YQ, YR charges.
Service fees and any other non-refundable charges will be excluded from the Qmiles credit.
If multiple passengers are in a booking, unique membership number (main/family) is required for Qmiles credit.
Following refund request is submitted, Qmiles will be added to the member account. This processes is irreversible.

Refund to original form of payment
If your travel has been involuntarily impacted, all applicable penalties shall we waived if cancellations are performed before departure.
If your travel has not been involuntarily impacted, any relevant penalties will be applied according to the applicable fare rules of the fare paid.
Refund amount will be credited using the original form of payment used to purchase the ticket.”
