Mitte April haben die Malediven angesichts guter Durchimpfungsraten die Covid-19 Tests für bereits geimpfte Reisende ausgesetzt: MALEDIVEN: Kein PCR Test für geimpfte Reisende
Das hat nicht lange gehalten. Die Malediven erleben trotz einer hohen Impfrate einen Covid-19 Peak. Alle Touristen – auch geimpfte Reisende – müssen nun einen Covid-19 Test vorzeigen.

“Effective from 3rd May 2021, all inbound travelers are obliged to produce a PCR negative result of a sample taken within 96 hours prior to their departure to the Maldives, even if vaccinated. However, children below one year is exempt from submitting the PCR negative test result.
Effective from 05th May 2021, Maldivian citizens and work visa holders arriving from India are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine for a period of 14 days in their place of residency or work. These travelers arriving from other countries are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine for a period of 10 days. After arrival, within 12 to 24 hours it is mandated to get registered on https://haalubelun.hpa.gov.mv/ portal.
Additionally, the following precautionary measures were implemented from 27th April 2021 for those travelling to and from India;
Passengers travelling from India and arriving in the Maldives, including travelers exceeding 24 hours transit periods, are required to produce a negative PCR test result of a sample taken within 96 hours prior to departure. The restriction also applies for tourists who have completed the COVID-19 vaccination.
All tourists who had arrived from India and are travelling back to India after their stay in the Maldives are mandated to do a pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours prior to their departure from Maldives.
Indian travelers arriving in the Maldives are restricted from staying at guesthouses and hotels located in local inhabited islands. The restriction does not apply to resorts and liveaboards.
Tourists are required to follow guidelines in place by the Ministry of Tourism https://tourism.gov.mv
Travelers arriving for short term work-based visit (less than 7 days) shall obtain special permission from the Health Protection Agency. Request for permission has to be emailed to eoclegal@health.gov.mv by the concerned/ liaised local agency on the traveler’s behalf.
Travelers who develop COVID-19 signs and symptoms will be tested for COVID-19 and if the test result is positive, the traveler will be subject to isolation as per the Health Protection Agency protocols.
Travelers who are contacts of COVID-19 cases will be subject to quarantine as per the Health Protection Agency protocols.”
