“The brand-new AEGEAN Business Lounge, in “Makedonia” International Airport, welcomed its first visitors during last week, accelerating travel experience offered in a venue characterized by aesthetics, design and comfort, reflecting in the best possible way Thessaloniki as a destination and the recently upgraded airport.
Inspired by the simple, sculptural traditional Greek architecture and expanding in more than 500 m2 (double the size of the previous lounge) the new lounge in Thessaloniki is the first to incorporate the new corporate identity of AEGEAN, is aligned with the cutting-edge technology of the new A320neo and A321neo aircraft of AEGEAN’s fleet and sets the new era of the airline for even more, innovative and upgraded services for the passenger.
The dominating element of curved forms combined with high quality materials such as marble, mosaic, glass, and wood, create a modern and contemporary space that focuses exclusively on comfort and hospitality, while the gate located in the lounge ensures direct onboarding.
At the same time, the new AEGEAN lounge in Thessaloniki is a platform of new experiences for both AEGEAN and Star Alliance passengers, as they can taste the unique local products of Thessaloniki and Northern Greece. The menus offered include local products or raw materials produced and sourced locally and from the wider region. AEGEAN will also be welcoming its passengers with local treats, products, wines and drinks from selected producers in Northern Greece.
