“Early morning on Thursday 2 December our IT systems were hit by a computer virus. The virus primarily affects systems for booking, check-in, check-out, and payment solutions. We have established manual systems for use in hotels to ensure our guests are still taken care of, however, you may unfortunately experience a bit of a delay. We have a full focus on solving problems as soon as possible with all the tools we have. The National Security Authority has been notified of the situation. We are working around the clock to get our systems up and running again, and in the meantime we will keep you updated on any changes through this article. Big thanks for your patience!
Can I log into my member’s account?
Unfortunately not, we are working on getting the system up and running again.
How do I book a room?
It is now possible to book a room through our website and app, but only in logged out mode. Please note that the website might still be slow at times, and thank you for your understanding.
Do I get my bonus points if I book without being logged in?
You can register your bookings to your member’s account as soon as our systems are back on. You will then be accredited the bonus points and qualifying nights that you are entitled to.
What can I expect when arriving to the hotel?
We put all hands on deck to assist the hotels so that you can have the best stay possible. You can still check in and out, but as our hotel systems are down you may need to wait a bit longer than usual. In the meantime, our hotel colleagues will do everything in their power to to ease your waiting time and make it a pleasant experience.
Can I pay for my stay?
You can still pay for your stays and visits at our hotels, but you may be asked to pay through more limited systems than usual.
Can I contact Customer Services to stay updated?
We do not recommend contacting Customer Services for information and updates about this situation – this article will be continuously updated with everything you need to know. Our Customer Services staff are working tirelessly to help guests and members with urgent requests, and the waiting time is currently long.
I’m a member – will I still receive my benefits?
If you are a Nordic Choice Club member you are entitled to several member benefits while visiting our hotels. Our sole focus right now is to help all of our guests and to get this situation under control. For a limited period, we might be prevented from delivering members benefits due to this situation. We thank all our guests for your understanding and promise you that we will come back stronger.
Safe Stay
We always have you top of mind and we can assure you that we monitor our hotels even more closely throughout this busy and critical time. In terms of hygiene and technology, we care to ensure you that your safety is our top priority. Please follow all local and national guidelines regarding infection control.”
