Die meisten großen Airlines haben für China Reisen großzügige Storno- bzw. Umbuchungsregeln eingeschalten. Stündlich machen mehr Airlines mit. Meine Empfehlung ist immer die internationale Seiten der Airlines zu besuchen. Die übersetzten regionalen Pages sind oftmals nicht ganz aktuell.

Aeroflot

“24 January 2020, Moscow. — Due to the virus pandemic in China, Aeroflot is offering passengers booked for flights to/from Chinese destinations to change their flight dates or return tickets. This applies to passengers booked for flights to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Harbin, and to passengers booked for code-share flights operated by China Eastern and China Southern to/from Sanya, Dalian and Wuhan.
Passengers who booked tickets on or before 24 January 2020 for SU-flights scheduled between 24 January and 7 February can:
• change departure dates for any date before 29 February 2020;
• get a refund for tickets at sales offices where they were purchased.
Tickets that were purchased online can be returned at any of the airline’s sales offices or via the contact centre.
The service is offered at no extra cost.
Passengers are being informed via Aeroflot’s contact centre. Those arriving at the airport for check-in will be provided accordingly in line with Federal Aviation regulations and Aeroflot standards. Further information is available at the airline’s 24-hour call centre: +7 495 223 5555, 8-800-444-5555 (free call in Russia), via the contact centre’s global free-call numbers, or at the airline’s sales offices.”

“In order to help passengers arrange their travels, notes on the special handling regulations for relevant air tickets are given as follows:
I. Eligible passenger tickets:
Tickets for flights operated by Air China with numbers beginning with 999 (including award tickets) or CA-coded codeshare flights booked before 0:00 am on January 24, 2020.
II. Ticket handling ways
1. Free refund applies to all the eligible passenger tickets.
2. An eligible ticket can be refunded without refund fee through the original ticket-booking channel within the validity period of the ticket (within one year of the issue date).
Air China will actively speed up the refund responses. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Reissue or refund must be completed on or before 29 February 2020.

If you booked your ticket via a travel agency, you should contact your travel agent.

China Airlines

“Eligibility:
Passengers holding CI/AE valid tickets issued on/before 24JAN20 with confirmed bookings on CI/AE flights to/from/via China/Hong Kong, must file applications on/before 31MAR20.
Rebooking/Reissue/Rerouting:
a. Tickets within validity can be rebooked to the other dates with the original booking class/Carrier/airport. The fare/tax difference, and rebooking fee can be waived once.
b. If other than Wuhan flights to/from China are cancelled or passengers holding tickets to/from Wuhan complied with the rules above may change to other flights in China which are operated by CI/AE, but only once.
c. Any fare/tax differences incurred by rebooking on different booking class/rerouting shall be paid by passengers provided that booking flights are operated normally. Tickets shall be reissued and reissue charge shall be waived only once.
Refund:
Full refund for unused tickets without imposing any refund service charge or penalty.
Payments of chargeable seats, pre-paid excess baggage can be full refund.
Not applicable:
a. Passengers holding OAL tickets shall comply with OAL’s ticket rule.
b. Discount tickets are not applicable for the principles. Group tickets please contact your agency.”

China Eastern

2. Refund Policy
1. Tickets meeting the above eligibility can be refunded without paying refund fees according to the regulations on involuntary refund.
2. Passengers can apply for refund at any time within the validity period of the tickets. Refund shall be processed by the passenger with his/her issuing channel or agent without paying refund fees.
Recently, the traffic volume of China Eastern 95530 customer service hotline has increased dramatically. Please wait patiently, or make a call by avoiding the rush hour, giving the opportunity to the people who need it more. “Delta has extended its travel waiver until Feb. 29 in response to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak originating in China.
Where: Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (PVG)
When: Jan. 24 – Feb. 29
This waiver allows customers with flexibility in their travel plans to make a one-time change to their itinerary without incurring a change fee.
Travelers with Wuhan in their journey are being screened by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control upon arrival to New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago-O’Hare and Los Angeles, in addition to screenings in China. Other U.S. airports are also reportedly screening passengers who have Wuhan as part of their travel journey.
The CDC has issued two current advisories:
Recommending all people traveling to China practice enhanced precautions.
Recommending travelers avoid all nonessential travel to Hubei Province, China, including Wuhan.
Delta continues to be in contact with the CDC and is following their guidelines.”

Eva Air

“1. Eligibility
For passengers holding BR/B7 tickets issued on/before 24JAN2020 with confirmed bookings on BR/B7 cross-strait and international flights with connecting flights from/to Mainland China / Hong Kong and Macao before 29FEB2020.
2. Applicable period
The application must be submitted on/before 29FEB2020.
3. Rebooking/Reissue:
A. The fare/tax difference and the service charge will only be waived once for the passenger changing to the new BR/B7 flight/date departing on/before 31MAY2020 with the same booking class and route as on the original ticket.
B. Ticket validity can be extended for 14days if the ticket validity is due to expire.
C. For tickets purchased from travel agents, please contact the original issuing agent for rebooking and ticket change.
4. Award tickets and upgrade with mileages:
Please contact EVA/UNI Air reservation office for rebooking. The service fee can be waived once. Expired miles are exempt from collection provided the revised itinerary meets the same criteria as the original ticket.
5. Refund:
A. Refund rule and charge will be waived.
B. For tickets purchased from EVA AIR official website, please submit a refund through EVA Air website or contact EVA AIR reservation and ticketing offices.
C. For tickets purchased from travel agents, please contact your travel agent to arrange a refund.
6. Group Passengers:
Please contact your travel agent.
7. Free and reduced fare tickets
Such as ID/AD/DM tickets, are not applicable to this procedure.”

Singapore Airlines

“Singapore Airlines is closely monitoring the development of the coronavirus pneumonia situation.
The safety of our crew and passengers is our highest priority. We are working closely with the authorities to take measures to minimise the spread of the coronavirus.
This includes the proactive screening of passengers on the ground and the distribution of a health advisory notice by Singapore’s Ministry of Health. As an added measure, inflight announcements regarding the coronavirus will be made on all flights to and from Mainland China.
We also have in place a set of standard operating procedures to handle various inflight medical emergencies, including potentially infectious diseases. Any unwell passenger will be attended to by the relevant medical authorities immediately after the aircraft lands.
Additionally, we will waive all cancellation and change fees for customers with tickets issued prior to 24 January 2020 for travel to and from Mainland China up to and including 29 February 2020.   1. Wäre interessant zu wissen ob bei Air China auch Flüge storniert werden können die nur eine Umsteigeverbindung (in Peking) nach Thailand sind.
    Noch habe ich mich nicht entschieden, aber man weiß ja nicht was noch alles kommt ….
    Flugnummer fängt mit 999 an, somit müsste es eigentlich erlaubt sein

    1. geht mir genau gleich… fliege mit CA 999 über Peking nach TPE am 7.02… unschlüssig was ich tun soll.

  2. Auf Handelsblatt.com gefunden:
    „… auf Anordnung …“ Ob LH sonst auch so großzügig wäre ?

    Die Lufthansa bietet auf Anordnung chinesischer Behörden ihren Kunden kostenfreie Umbuchungen für alle Flüge von und nach China (ohne Hongkong) an. Das gilt für Tickets, die vor dem 23. Januar gebucht wurden, und zwar für Flüge im Zeitraum von 24. Januar bis 23. Februar. Die Lufthansa bietet pro Woche 45 Verbindungen nach und von China an, die österreichische Tochter Austrian Airlines neun, die Schweizer Tochter Swiss 21 inklusive Hongkong.

  3. Das ist mal wieder so ein Fall, der zeigt warum es nicht verkehr ist ein paar Euro mehr zu zahlen und direkt bei der Airlines zu buchen.

    Über ein OTA wird das sicher sehr schwierig und kostenintensiv mit dem Storno,

  4. Ich hatte aktuell (25.08.2020) Kontakt mit British Airways, wegen eines stornierten Flug ( MUC – ICN und zurück Business ).
    Meine erste Befürchtung war die Schleife in der Hotline und meine Zweite der Ärger, dass wieder nur ein Gutschein angeboten wird.
    Zu Erstens: Absolut keine Wartezeit bei der Hotline.
    Zu Zweitens: Es wurde mir nach einem kurzem Gespräch die Rückerstattung angeboten und ausgeführt.
    Absolut professionell!
    Ich sage der BA dafür herzlichen Dank und wünsche mit, dass sich andere Airlines gleich verhalten.
