TAP Miles&Go hat den Star Alliance Gold Status Match erneut aufgelegt …
TAP Miles&Go hat den Status Match für Neukunden erneut aufleben lassen. Man meldet sich bei TAP Miles&Go mit einem vergleichbaren Status an. Ein Star Alliance Status Match ist ausgeschlossen. Dann muss man bis 30.04. einmal Meilen kaufen. 2 000 Meilen kosten 70 Euro. Den Status hat man schließlich bis April 2021! Dazu kann man – nach Auskunft von TAP auch beim Status Match – den Gold Status einer zweiten Person schenken.
Der Ablauf:
“Join TAP Miles&Go
When registering, include a photograph of the membership card of the programme with which you’re applying*.
Join a Club or purchase miles
You must join a Club TAP Miles&Go or purchase miles by 30 April 2020 in order to obtain Silver or Gold status.
If your application is approved you will be awarded Silver or Gold status valid until 30/04/2021.
You can keep your TAP Miles&Go status if you earn a defined number of Status Miles by 30/04/2021**.”

If you are already registered in the Program since January 1, 2020 you can participate in the Challenge by sending an email to promo@tapmilesandgo.com, with your name and TAP Miles&Go Client number, as well as your Customer Card from another eligible Miles Status/Program that proves you have a status that is the equivalent of the TAP Miles&Go status you are applying for;
In addition to proving membership of an eligible partner programme, Clients are only eligible for Silver or Gold status upon joining a Club TAP Miles&Go (any one of the plans is valid) or by purchasing miles in the miles store (no minimum purchase) by 30 April 2020;
Allocation of Silver or Gold status depends on meeting the eligibility requirements and upon validation of the TAP Miles&Go Programme application;
Silver or Gold status is allocated for a period of 1 (one) year, until 30 April 2021;
Notification of Silver or Gold status allocation will be confirmed by email, by May 16;
It is possible to extend TAP Miles&Go Gold status acquired via the Challenge by earning 25,000 Status Miles by 30 April 2021;
It is possible to extend TAP Miles&Go Silver status acquired via the Challenge by earning 10,000 Status Miles by 30 April 2021;
TAP Miles&Go Silver or Gold status extensions will be valid for one annual accumulation period;
Gold or Silver Star Alliance clients are not eligible to take part in these challenges.”
TAP Miles&Go Gold hat ein absolut nettes Feature. Man kann den Gold Status einer weiteren Person schenken. Laut TAP Miles&Go erhalten auch die neuen Gold Kunden diese Möglichkeit. Der Star Alliance Gold durch Match ist also für zwei Personen gültig. Viewfromthewing.boardingarea.com hat nachgefragt.

Oha, interessant. Nachdem ich nicht weiß ob ich den BAEC status behalten kann, nachdem die so knausrig mit dem Nachlass der Anforderungen sind, obwohl man nicht fliegen kann, kommt das eventuell gelegen.

Status match ging bereits durch, die sind überraschend responsiv per Email. Jetzt nur mal schauen, ob man vor April 2021 wieder fliegen kann.
Ich habe den Match auch durchbekommen und gleich ein Ticket für Dezember von Prag nach Cancun deren neuester Destination für mich +1 um 323 Euro pro Person gebucht.
Auf deren Webseite-;) und NICHT auf bekannten dubiosen OTA’S nur um 10 Euro zu sparen.

Würde man bei einem Skyteam (Flying Blue KLM Gold) Match, dann TAP Miles&Go Gold Status bekommen und würde einem das dann Zugang zu Star Alliance Lounges geben, natürlich wenn man mit einer Star Alliance Airline fliegt – also auch außer TAP?
