“Dear passengers,
to protect the health and well-being of Turkey, the Turkish government had to implement very far-reaching actions due to the spread of the Coronavirus. We took note of the travel policies and restrictions declared. SunExpress is currently evaluating the impact on its operations from Turkey to Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, the Netherlands and vice versa.
The travel ban is effective as of Saturday morning, March 14, 2020. At this point of time, the travel ban is set until April 17, 2020.
It is in our heart and soul as SunExpress family to be the bridge between our two home countries. Please be assured that we will do our utmost to make sure that none of our passengers and crew members will be left behind.
We deeply regret the inconvenience this may cause for our passengers but will of course fully comply with the administrative regulations. We want to emphasize that on every journey you take with SunExpress, your safety and well-being, and that of our staff, is our top priority. Please rest assured that we are monitoring the situation and developments, and we will continue to provide you with regular updates.
Can I still fly out of Turkey if my country is included in the travel ban?
SunExpress will do everything that is possible to fly all passengers from Turkey back to their respective home countries. For the time between March 13 – 20 (midnight GER time // 2am TR time), we will operate our full flight plan out of Turkey. All international flights from and to Turkey after March 20, 2020, will be cancelled according to government restrictions until further notice, at least until April 17, 2020. If additional recovery flights are required, we will communicate at a later point of time.”
