Vorgestern war das Wetter in New York ja nicht so gut. JFK war für Stunden geschlossen. Der Singapore Airlines A380 von Frankfurt nach JFK wurde daraufhin auf den tiny Airport Stewart International in der Provinz umgeleitet.

Für einen Besuch eines A380 ist der Airport nicht ganz ausgelegt. Normalerweise fliegen pro Jahr nur 137 000 Passagiere dort ab. Die Landebahn ist zwar lang genug, aber Gate hat der zu große A380 nicht bekommen. Also die Gates haben eher nicht gepasst ;) Dann hat man den A380 einfach so abgefertigt.
